Introduction
Hi there! I’m Brent, a local guitar, bass and ukulele teacher. I’ve been playing music for nearly 30 years, and my passion is sharing that love with new players. This summer, I’m offering lessons in guitar, bass and ukulele at my home studio in Milton at more flexible times than throughout the school year.
Regular time slots available if you’re looking for a weekly spot or schedule some “drop-ins” if you plan to be away for some fun in the sun.
Earlier morning and afternoon times are also available during July / August.
Lessons are available for all levels of experience—from beginners just starting out to seasoned players who want to up their game with some advanced techniques. Private classes provide an intimate learning environment where you’ll work one-on-one with me as your instructor.

This summer, I’m offering the same approach for learning guitar, bass or ukulele as I always do: catered to your learning style and musical likes. These lessons will focus on technique, some music theory and style so you can learn how to play in any genre of music you love. If you’re interested in learning an instrument for fun or want to improve your skills so that you can start performing live shows soon, these lessons are perfect for you!

Choose your pace and style of lesson
Next, choose the length of your lesson. If you’re just starting out and looking for a lesson to review skills and rocking of the basics, then 30-minute lessons are perfect for you. For those with a bit more time on their hands, 60-minute lessons will give you more time to get you playing like a pro in no time.
What if you’re looking for something specific like your favourite artists and bands like Taylor Swift or Led Zeppelin or Foo Fighters or Girl In Red, or how to play tunes on ukulele, and even how to play Motown classics on bass? No matter what instrument or style you’re interested in learning, there’s something here for everyone!

- All ages welcome—my youngest student is 6 years old and my oldest student is 78 years old!
- Everyone of all genders and backgrounds are welcome here; no matter what gender identity or pronouns you use (they/them, he/him, she/her etc.), everyone will feel comfortable in a safe space at Summer Lessons. I believe everyone deserves access to music education regardless of their ability level or personal background.
